What inspired you to start blogging?
I essentially wanted to share my writing journey with people. As writers, we all have advice and insights that could be valuable or interesting to others, so I suppose I wanted to do that.

How did you come up with the name to your blog?
It’s quite straightforward really. My name is Nick Peterson and I have a blog, hence nickpetersonblog.wordpress.com ^.^

What is your favourite blog that you like to read?
At the moment, I don’t actually read that many blogs. In fact, misswho’s blog is one of the only ones I look at! Maybe now that I’ve nominated some more people for this award, I will become more acquainted with different bloggers.

Tell about your dream job.
I would absolutely adore to be a full-time writer, making enough money to live off. Also, I like filmmaking so I wouldn’t mind doing that fulltime either.

Is your glass half full or half empty?
Definitely half full. I’m a silver lining kind of guy, who thinks that things are better when you shine light on them.

If you could go anywhere for a week’s vacation, where would you go?
There’s sooo many places that I want to see, so it’s really hard to pinpoint just one! But for the sake of the exercise, I wouldn’t mind going to Prague. It seems like such a romantic, cultural place… I think it would be awesome!

What food can you absolutely not eat?
I can eat most things really, but there are a few exceptions. Liquidy/saucy cheese makes me gag, yet solid cheese or pizza cheese is great. Then there’s spicy stuff, I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy things. And finally there’s things like tomatoes, melons and cucumbers (water-sodden fruit and veg) that are a big no-no.

Dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

I like both! However, if I was forced at gunpoint to choose one, then I would pick milk chocolate, because that is the one I prefer!

How much time do you spend blogging?
It usually takes me half an hour to write a blog, and I usually do one per week. I could probably do more really, but I lose track of the days and a week has passed before I’ve realised!

Do you watch tv – if so, what are some of your favorite shows?

Firstly, I’m not actually in possession of a television because I don’t want to get drawn into watching hours of shite each day; instead, I much prefer to actively select my favourite shows by watching them online or through purchasing box sets.
My uber favourite is Coronation Street, which is just hilarious for its observations of mundane Northern England! Then there’s the big American TV shows (Game of Thrones, Lost, Prison Break, The Walking Dead), which have such high production values and enticing narratives – each episode is like a mini Hollywood film!

Okay, so that’s The Sunshine Award for you. Not bad eh 😛
